Web Design · Front-End Development · Academic Project
A full design-and-build project for a fitness centre website — from visual concept to coded, responsive front-end. Designed and developed independently using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
Objective
The goal was to create a visually appealing and user-friendly platform that effectively communicates the diverse offerings and vibrant atmosphere of the Form Flex Fitness Centre. As the sole designer and developer, I was responsible for the complete journey — from initial visual concept to final coded, responsive website.
Design and build a fitness centre website that encourages visitors to explore offerings, learn about trainers, and consider membership — with a clean, energetic aesthetic.
My Role
Key Design Elements
01
Header Navigation
Clear navigation categories — Home, Gym, Yoga, Zumba, Cardio, Contact Us — enhance user accessibility and reduce cognitive load for new visitors.
02
Hero Section
Engaging visuals showcasing gym, yoga, cardio, and Zumba activities create an inviting, high-energy atmosphere that motivates users to explore.
03
Facilities Section
Crisp icons represent each facility type. "Try now" CTAs encourage users to explore specific offerings without overwhelming them with text.
04
Class Schedule
A well-organised table for bodybuilding, crossfit, yoga, and bhangra classes by day — clean design with a focus on legibility and quick scanning.
05
Membership Options
Clearly presented tiers with concise details and pricing, supported by vibrant visuals and strong CTAs that guide users toward conversion.
06
Safety Standards
Highlights equipment sanitisation and safety measures using icons and concise copy — building trust and addressing user concerns proactively.
Class Schedule Section — Organised & Scannable
Membership Options — Clear Pricing & Strong CTAs
Technology
The site was coded from the ground up — no templates. I applied a responsive, mobile-first approach to ensure a seamless experience across all device sizes.
Outcome
The Form Flex Fitness website delivers an engaging and informative experience that encourages visitors to explore offerings, learn about trainers, and consider memberships. The clean layout, vibrant visuals, and clear calls-to-action contribute to a positive, user-centric experience.
This project demonstrated my ability to own both design and development — translating a visual concept into production-ready code independently, with attention to responsive behaviour and user experience at every step.
